Here at Kensington Hounds we specialise in fun, sociable off-lead group walks. We are fully licensed by the Royal Parks and currently run several group walks a day between 8:30am and 3:30pm in Kensington Gardens.

Our walks are designed so that your pooch can be thoroughly exercised safely whilst developing (or retaining) excellent social skills and 'dog manners'. Our walkers have all trained in various aspects of behaviour and canine body language to ensure that the behaviour of each of our pack members is to our exceptionally high standard.

All group walks are 1 hour long (travelling time excluded) with no more than 4 dogs per walker. For 4+ day-a-week regular arrangements we charge £22.50 per walk including VAT.

Our groups are in exceptionally high demand and from February 2024 we have transitioned to being a membership only walking service. Memberships begin at £50 a month and include one to one training sessions, access to our training blog, discounts for services and dog treats and more!

We strongly believe that puppies must be well socialised as soon as they are vaccinated and ready to go out and about! If you have a new puppy do feel free to get in touch, or visit our puppy page!

We often don't advise 5 day-a-week arrangements for very young puppies as we feel that basic early training such as recall needs practice and 1-on-1 attention, however we are happy to take well mannered puppies with our groups 2 days a week and can help you balance their routine to ensure you raise a happy, well rounded dog!

The importance of good role models at this early age is paramount and we are confident that due to our somewhat strict screening process that your puppy will be surrounded by happy, well socialised and well mannered dogs

We offer a rewards based, ethical training service for dogs and their owners using scientific research centred, proven techniques and methods.

Our 1-to-1's can cover anything from recall, loose-lead walking, settle work and puppy toilet training through to behaviour modification, scentwork and breed specific practices. The holistic approach from our experienced trainers ensures that the mental and physical wellbeing of each dog and their human is prioritised while still being extremely effective and up to date with all current research.

Our trainers have a range of qualifications and memberships from accredited, force free providers such as IMDT, CAPBT, APDT, The PPG, COAPE and are part of the UK Dog Training and Behaviour Charter and are firm believers in continuing professional development which they do via new courses regularly and being diamond members of the Grisha Stewart academy.

We don't currently offer a daycare service as we believe that after an intense walk, training or play session that dogs need to rest! However if you have a puppy or very active dog that you require a full day arrangement for please do get in touch and our team will endeavour to offer a solution. We currently do double/back-to-back walks for some of our working breeds or for younger dogs whose growth plates haven't closed we can offer a split walk arrangement.

We don't currently offer boarding but our KH members are eligible for our Private Petsitting option for those who need to travel and want their dog to be in a safe, home environment. Our in-house pet sitting option is a great choice for puppies or dogs that enjoy their routine. We can stay on top of manners and general obedience and they can come on as many pack walks per day as is suitable for their age/breed.

Here at Kensington Hounds we aim to assist all clients in keeping their dogs healthy and in great shape. We are keen believers in the use of longlines while dogs are learning to recall reliably and advocate well fitted, comfortable harnesses so as not to damage throats. Their safety and happiness are our main priorities.

All of our electric vehicles are modern, safe and fully air conditioned.

All of our walkers are fully DBS checked and your keys will be left unmarked, in a safe when not in use. In addition to our key holding service, should you ever get locked out, we are happy to come round and let you in for free!

We are fully insured by Clivertons Insurance and recommended by many local vets. In addition to this we have the experience and expertise that many agency style/independent walkers do not. Meaning your pup is in the safest hands possible whilst in our care!

Our goal as a company is to continue improving not only our knowledge and experience in the field but also our professional yet personal approach with all clients. To allow for the managing members of our team to focus on walks, training and customer satisfaction we realised that we needed to implicate a straight forward and secure booking and billing system to reduce the administration required. We are very excited to announce that July 2020 has seen the exciting launch of our very own, custom built App!

Kensington Hounds app can be found on the App Store for both iOS and Android and is a user friendly system for our customers to book both regular and ad hoc walks through. Following your consultation you will be added as a member and given an account. Upon confirming your rolling arrangement our administrator will input it into the system, we then ask you to keep on top of cancellations by deleting when required! Billing is done at the end of each month via an easy, secure system.

From Monday through Thursday we run regular group walks in London's beautiful Royal Parks, however with our training and behaviour background and from owning dogs ourselves we realise that sometimes city pups need a day to relax, blow off steam and gain new experiences. 

With this in mind we are super excited to be offering Friday day trips out of town with hikes in the beautiful Surrey Hills, rambles through the New Forest, trips to beautiful lakes and rivers and maybe even a beach trip or two! All routes will have been checked beforehand for suitability and to ensure they are safe and dog friendly by ourselves and our team and priority will be offered to regulars. With safety in mind we do ask for reliable recall and manners on lead to be eligible. Not all trips will be suitable for young puppies due to distance covered so please check with a member of the team if you are interested in this service. 

We have some fantastic routes and have found that quiet decompression walks and proper fresh air has made a huge difference to our dogs health, wellbeing and stress levels, as well as ourselves and our team's and we are lucky to have many clients themselves wanting to join our day trips for the ultimate doggy day out!
